432000 Seconds. That’s Five Days!

Last Seconds Christmas Gift Ideas, From Us to You!

Did someone say “frenzied”? You must be mistaken. We are serene and organised.

Why? Because we have the next few thousand seconds all planned out like clockwork. But if we were were a bit behind the clock, here's a list of what we would choose as last-minute small gifts, stocking fillers and personal treats! For them and you!

Also, did you know that roughly 30% of shoppers gear up to kick off their holiday shopping as early as October or even before?! If you’re not one of these people, come take a peep at three things that will be sure-fire last-minute hits!

Let’s start with …

Sonny Angels!

Always welcomed! These guys go like hotcakes. Or chocolate croissants. Or really yummy sausage rolls. Whatever your baked good of choice! We’re not joking.

Christmas is the latest drop in the Sonny Angel universe. Such an array of outfits for this cutie pie figurine!

In the beginning, Sonny Angel was not a mini figure. He was a big boy! Born as an 18cm (7”), wide-eyed doll,  on May 15th, 2004. He’s a little angel boy who likes wearing all sorts of headgear and is always by your side to make you smile. Put him at the entrance to your home, next to your bed, on your desk and so many other places.

The major feature of Sonny Angel Mini Figures is that each series comprises different figures. Blind box packaging ensures you do not know which figure you will receive until you buy one and open the box.

Super surprise Angels that do not disappoint!

Next: we vouch for vouchers...

Pulp Gift Voucher!

If the world is Pulp, then give them the oyster!  That is, the personal choice of anything in the store!

Is your gift recipient a gardener? A thinker? A bag collector? Someone who likes posters? (for some interactive fun, click the links to see some suggestions!)

Are you not sure what they are interested in?! Well then, Pulp gift voucher to the rescue!

Yes, they are convenient. 52% of people asked about gift vouchers think so! Yes, gift vouchers are appropriate to give. A whopping 90% of people surveyed said so! And YES, gift vouchers were invented in the 1930s by department stores as a way to reward loyal customers.

Back then, the vouchers were kept behind the counter and only sold to those in the know. These days, anyone is welcome and encouraged to give, receive or just generally enjoy gift vouchers. Hooray!

OK, but what about something you can pop a last-minute message/treat/tiny gift in that is cute and that you can hang from the tree?

We have just the thing:

Omamori bag!

Pop a little origami crane with a written message into an omamori bag, hang it on the tree for your bestie/mum/dad/kid/dog/cat!

What else would fit into the Omamori?

Jewellery. The perfect size for a ring!

Chocolate! Maybe a cocoa-dusted truffle. Yum!

Handwritten note! You can fit a lot of love into even the tiniest note!

Omomori bags were traditionally used as a receptacle to write prayers or wishes to bring good luck to -and ward off bad luck from the recipient. In these modern moments, we can do the same.

Sometimes, we like to keep count in seconds. Keeps us on our feet.

Did you know that 1 in 3 last-minute shoppers choose where to buy their gifts based on how soon they can get them? This is a statistical fact.

Another fact - proven by the good vines and many years of experience and feedback from all our beautiful customers (that’s you!)-  is that you will always find something cool, fun, and quick if you mosey on into our little shop on Sydney Road.

So, take these final thousands of seconds to pop in, browse peacefully and walk away with some gift items that don’t feel last minute at all! Time well spent. True dat!

And speaking of last minute:

Thank You! You Rule. You Win. You Take Home The Prize for ‘Coolest Pulp Besties Ever’.

A thousand thanks (as many as there are seconds left 'til Xmas!) for visiting our store this year.

Thank you for all the purchases in-store and online. And for all the lovely neighbourhood chats! And thank you for reading our blog and instagram posts. Your eyeballs are much appreciated.

Have a safe and restful break. See you in the new year for more Pulpific goodness! xx
