Notebooks With A Warble-Bow-Wow-Meow Factor.

If cats, dogs and Aussie animals could take notes, these are the notebooks they would use.

Or maybe they would want a notebook featuring illustrations of their favourite humans… who knows!

Whatever the case, these Me & Amber Notebooks are quite seriously cute, functional and handy. But first things first. Three questions, and some very well-researched answers - just for you, Pulp notetakers!

Who invented notebooks?

Well, this is a complicated one. Various forms and advancements have emerged over the centuries. While no single person invented the notebook as we know it, J.A. Birchall of Australia (!!!)  is credited with inventing the notepad in 1902, which is a precursor to the modern notebook.

Of course, though,  bound notebooks existed long before that; for example, the Roman codex and Papyrus scrolls in ancient Egypt allowed for the recording of information. Scrollific!

Who uses notebooks?

Let’s be honest, who doesn’t? But if you insist, let’s list some:

Students, writers, and journalists.

Mums, Dads and kids.

Geologists, biologists and physical therapists.

Policepeople, land surveyors and artists.

Vets, animal trainers and zookeepers!

Yup! You name the job, we will bet you will use a notebook at some point. Pen to paper is brain to outside world. A pen in hand does the ‘talking’, whether it’s getting inner monologues out or remembering not to forget.

Which notebooks are best?

One you love. One you use. One that helps you stay organised.

Ruled pages for those who want to stay on the lines. Blank pages for doodling and blue-sky thinking. Slim notebooks for quick and easy travelling. Or large, high-capacity notebooks to record lengthy information.

It’s up to you!  But, may we suggest …
