Feeling and Making Good Nature.
Pulp Egg Heads! Did you know that this quaint idiom, ‘to be a good egg,’ originated as British public school slang in the 1800s?
That’s right - from one old blighty dweller, to another, this turn of phrase is up there with ‘a lick and a promise’ (a quick superficial cleaning job), ‘bags o’ mystery’ (sausages, because no one knew what was inside) and gigglemug (someone who is always smiling!)
Hoho!
But just to be clear, let’s get into some key aspects of being a "Good Egg".
Reliability: A good egg is someone you can depend on. When you're in a jam, the good eggs are the ones to call.
Kindness: They are pleasant, helpful, and "good to other people". Everyone feels safe and happy around a good egg!
Upstanding: Used to describe an honest and honourable person. A good egg always thinks through things and does their best to do the right thing.
Good Eggs have certain practices. And we have three suggestions for expressing and feeling for yourself and others. Read on…
1. Make something:
The act of creating, making or crafting with someone else in mind is a powerful practice.
Sync colours with personality; select exactly the right words to describe your chosen person’s innate nature and how you feel about them; imbue love and good wishes into the crafting process as you go. The end result will delight both you and the recipient!

2. Grow something:
Plant a seed and watch it grow. Tending to a plant is a matter of patience and wonder. The gentle effort you exert is repaid by blooming leaves, and, depending on the plant you choose, flowers and fruit!

3. Be grateful for something:
Lighting a candle is a mindful ritual that can help acknowledge positive aspects of life.
The flame represents focusing energy on gratitude, peace, or success. The practice is a sensory experience, often using fragrance to evoke feelings of warmth and empowerment.
