The weather isn't the only thing making us happy.
We’re feeling positively jubilant, content, gleeful and jovial about a few things. Today it’s our prettily adorned walls and our home-brewed coffee breaks!
Yes, yes! All the adjectives! But what is serotonin, and how can we get it? And why are we talking about walls and coffee? Patience, our dears, all will be revealed.
Fancy word incoming: Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that helps regulate mood, sleep, and digestion, a chemical messenger that helps send signals between nerve cells. 🧠Yup, important stuff!
How to get more?
Bask in sunlight, run up to the corner shop and back a few times (AKA exercise), and chomp down on amino acids (haha, sounds gross, but it just means eggs, cheese, salmon and nuts).
Helping others out, socialising (the local blue light disco counts). Pro- and prebiotics are also outstanding ways to boost your daily serotonin levels.
We, here at Pulp, can suggest some more options for a shot of serotonin! How about some cheerful wall decoration, with …
Cavallini and Co. Posters
We’re shining our light on three posters that can make your heart happy:
Bicycle Blueprint
Get on yer bike! Or at least on yer wall! Cast your gaze on an MRI of a Bicycle, 24/7. Let it remind you to cycle to your grampies’, get the wind in your hair and pedal like you mean it!
The California Poppy
Image and link above! Orange is the new colour of happiness. And the California Poppy is a beautiful and intelligent orange. Intelligent? Yep. The petals close at night or in wet/windy weather and open again in the morning. A virtuous reminder to be present and peaceable with one’s surroundings…
Fly Fishing
A timeless outdoor activity if ever there was one. With the addition of nerding out on which flies attract which fish. Guess no longer! Put this visual on your ceiling and revise every night before bed!
All posters are 711 x 508mm and printed on ivory laid paper. Delightful!
Kinto Cup Saucer and Brewer!
Coffee has a reputation for turning a frown upside down. That ain't no lie.
We’ve been known to happily clean the entire house from top to bottom after a long black (or two). And brewing the magical liquid with this beautiful ceramic offering from Kinto is just the icing on the cake! Or the art on the latte!
